GR Engineering to convert existing Cosmic Boy Concentrator facility as part of EPC pact

GR Engineering Services Limited has executed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Myamba Minerals Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Medallion Metals Limited.

GR Engineering’s scope of work consists of the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the works associated with the conversion of the existing Cosmic Boy Concentrator facility to a standalone facility that produces a copper concentrate and gold doré.

The contract sum is A$50 million ($36 million). GR Engineering has previously commenced early engineering works and ordering of long lead items.

Commenting on the award, Tony Patrizi, Managing Director, said: “We are pleased to have been engaged by Medallion to play a key role in the conversion of the Cosmic Boy Concentrator. GR Engineering has a long history at this site having designed and constructed the Cosmic Boy Concentrator in 2009. We look forward to working with the Medallion team to safely and successfully deliver this project.”
