Connected mining data: Acquire expands integration across geology, drilling and environmental workflows

Perth, Australia – Mining companies are generating more data than ever before. Yet much of that information remains dispersed across disconnected systems – creating duplication, manual effort and delays in decision-making.

To help address this challenge, Acquire has announced two new integrations between its geoscientific, drilling and environmental data management software products. The integrations between GIM Suite and Blackfox, and Envirosys and GIM Suite, enables organisations to move information more seamlessly between teams, reducing data silos and improving visibility across mining workflows.

Why connected data matters

As mining organisations increasingly look to automate processes and adopt artificial intelligence (AI), connected and trusted data is becoming a business requirement rather than a technical preference. By integrating key systems used across the mining lifecycle, organisations can strengthen governance, reduce manual handling and improve confidence in the information used to support operational and strategic decisions.

“Mining organisations rely on data from multiple disciplines, but that data is often fragmented across separate systems,” said Charl Retief, Geoscience Portfolio Leader, at Acquire. “To realise the full value of digital transformation and AI, organisations first need confidence in the quality, accessibility and governance of their data. These integrations help create that foundation by making sure critical information can move efficiently between the teams that rely on it.”

Connecting geology and drilling data with Blackfox and GIM Suite

The integration between Blackfox and GIM Suite brings drilling and geological data together within a connected workflow.

Blackfox, Acquire’s cloud-based drilling information management platform, captures drilling information directly from the source. Through the integration, hole collar details captured in GIM Suite transfer directly into the Blackfox drillhole planning interface, reducing the need for manual imports and duplicate data handling.

Geology and drilling teams can access up-to-date information faster, improving data availability and supporting more informed decision-making. By connecting drilling and geology systems, mining companies can streamline workflows, improve data quality and establish a more consistent source of truth across departments.

“Integrating Blackfox with GIM Suite creates a more connected experience for our customers. It reduces friction from the way data moves between the two systems and helps teams rely on consistent, accurate information. The result is stronger data, better reconciliation, and more efficient day-to-day operations.” said Elliot Flaig, Blackfox Operations Manager.

Bringing environmental and geological data together with Envirosys and GIM Suite

Acquire has introduced a new integration between GIM Suite and Envirosys, connecting geological and environmental data workflows.

Environmental data is needed by miners to manage compliance obligations, sustainability objectives and stakeholder expectations. However, environmental and geological information often exist in separate systems, making it more difficult to access, analyse and report across these datasets.

Now available in Envirosys 9.5, the integration synchronises monitoring location data, drillhole monitoring and point monitoring data from GIM Suite straight into Envirosys, keeping each sample point matched to its source record.

“Environmental teams have told us they spend too much time keeping drillhole and monitoring records in sync across separate systems. By connecting data at its source, we’ve increased trust and reduced effort for the teams which ultimately provides a stronger foundation for environmental decisions, risk mitigation and compliance,” said Stuart van de Water, ESG Portfolio Leader at Acquire.

These capabilities support more transparent environmental governance, reporting, and decision-making across operations.

Building the foundation for connected mining

The integrations represent the latest step in Acquire’s commitment to helping mining organisations create connected, trusted and accessible data ecosystems.

Bringing drilling, geology and environmental information together helps organisations improve collaboration and build the data foundations miners rely on.

Acquire is exhibiting at booth B16 during the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) 2026 in Sydney from 27 to 29 October, where attendees can learn more about the latest integrations and speak with the team about their data goals.

Join Andre Oosthuizen, Operations Manager at Acquire, at 2:00pm on Tuesday 27 October, as he presents Single Source of Truth: The Real Foundation for AI in Mining. The session will explore how strong governance, integrated systems and accessible information help mining organisations prepare for the next generation of AI-enabled decision-making.
