DEVELON has launched its new -7 Series log loaders and road builders, designed to tackle the toughest forestry and timber processing tasks with more power, comfort, and durability than ever before.
The initial rollout includes the DX225LL-7 log loader and the DX225RB-7 road builder, with more models on the way. These machines come equipped with enhanced safety features, heavy-duty components, and simplified serviceability to help logging and construction professionals work faster and smarter in the field.

Thanks to improved swing torque, the machines handle heavy loads with ease — even on inclines. A fine swing function reduces load sway during operation, making log handling safer and more precise.
Operators can instantly boost lifting power using a one-touch hydraulic power boost on the joystick. Four selectable power modes allow customization for fuel efficiency or high-demand tasks.
“We’ve used the DX225LL-7 prototype for shovel logging and truck loading,” said Matt Smith of Skookumchuck Logging, Washington. “It’s smoother, more powerful, and delivers quicker cycle times than previous models.”
Durability Built for the Forest
These machines are designed to withstand rugged forestry conditions with features like:
- Heavy-duty side panels and protective guards
- A reinforced, high-clearance undercarriage
- A fully guarded cab with riser and tilt function for easy transport
The log loader cab is mounted on a 4-foot riser and protected with robust front and top guards, all without compromising visibility. The cab tilts 90 degrees hydraulically for easier loading and transport.
Operator Comfort and Visibility
Comfort and safety are top priorities. Inside the spacious, all-weather steel cab, operators will find:
- A heated, air-suspension seat with ergonomic controls
- Front and rear LED lighting for visibility in low-light conditions
- A color LCD monitor displaying machine data and rear/side camera views
- Optional Around View Monitor (AVM) system with 360° visibility on a dedicated display
Optional features include a side-entry forestry cab that meets Oregon OSHA and British Columbia WCB safety standards, featuring polycarbonate windows and a rear emergency exit. For even more protection, 32-mm polycarbonate glass is available.
Road Builder Options and Features
For road builders, DEVELON offers:
- Boom and arm lock valves
- Straight travel pedal (standard on log loaders, optional on road builders)
- Optional air compressor and fuel filler pump for on-site convenience
Additional equipment includes:
- Bluetooth and radio system
- Travel alarm
- Public address (PA) system – standard on log loaders, optional on road builders

Simplified Maintenance and Monitoring
Daily maintenance is quick and efficient, thanks to:
- Centralized grease points at the boom base
- Grouped filters and hydraulic components for easy access
- Reverse fan radiator to reduce debris buildup
An optional in-cab air compressor keeps the work environment clean.
